Could you just tell folks like Duke I'm alright? I'm probably not going to be posting for a couple days, as I've got to straighten stuff out before I get the urge to jump in front of a train. this job is starting to rot me from the inside out and I need to take care of that.
sorry to call you out by name, but I know you still check here regularly.
It's gotten to the point where I can't even write or think properly, and I need to get out before it breaks me.
but I'll be okay. I have a plan.

Not feeling up to a post tonight
work was miserable today, given how much we lost to scrap, and I realized that I can't stand how racist some of the people around me there are.
or anywhere, for that matter.
I don't want to make this a political blog, but there's things I refuse to tolerate, and racism/sexism/homophobia/jingoism is chief on the list.
and yes, "is" would be the correct grammatical choice here. they're all just different names for the same parasite.
honestly thinking about giving up on screenwriting, too, and becoming a park ranger or something so I can help take care of nature and not have to deal with people as much.
here, let's put aside my discontentment, and instead have a picture of Sweetsong at Cobb's Hill.

I think tomorrow I'm going to try and write up all the sweetsong adventures I missed.
anyways, take care, Constant Readers. Always glad to see you stop by.

Alt-J live review
— Cadejo Jones (@CallMeCadejo) September 24, 2015
that was...by far one of the best concerts I've ever been to. the only contenders against it are the Foo Fighters (who went nearly 4 goddamn hours), and Godspeed You! Black Emperor (which is a memory I keep in a glass box).
holy crap though. definitely best light show, and just...the main street armory is the coolest venue ever.

anyways, if you're not into Alt-J you need to fix that.
good night, Dear reader, good night.

Going to see Alt-J
so there won't be a post tonight.
though if you're feeling randy, this might count.
don't feel randy, he doesn't like it.
An Alt-J Primer below.

working on a new MLP fic
So given that last week took IDW comic rarity's obsession with Noir and made it canon, I have no choice but to take the Rarity Detective Fic I've had kicking around in my head for a few years and actually write it out.
The story is called "A Finder of Lost Things," and it's a sort of holmesy affair with a healthy dose of dirk gently and various genre 'cliches' to either be abused or lampshaded.
it'll be fun.
also given that I'm out of work today (I barfed in the bathroom. acid reflux is not fun, but I fixed it with tums and a plate of pierogi when I got home) I figure instead of laying around being miserable, I should lay around and be productive and miserable.
spoilers (sort of) below, but sometimes I can't help but look back at my notes and laugh.

Stillllll in a dreeeaaammmmm CAAAKEEE EAAAATERRRRRRRR
Wow, it got heavy last night, didn't it?
let's totally ruin that moment.
started playing MGS3:SNAAAKKEEEE EAAATERRR at my buddy Walter's house, and holy crap is it fun. there's all sorts of jokes I get now (such as the above one, obviously), but even better is the fact that it's built to be a bond game.
If you've got any doubts about whether to at least look into the game, let me present the main theme as my argument.
Like, just look at that. They did a motherbuckin' BOND THEME THAT'S BETTER THAN QUITE A FEW ACTUAL BOND THEMES.
also, I suck at stealth games, so it's an enjoyable experience to watch me be awful, according to the gang.
With darkness and frosting through the night
What a thrill...
I'm searching and I'll bake into you
What a mess in my mouth
But you're so tasty!
I quit my diet
Not for honor, but for you
**Cake Eater**
In my time there'll be no one else
Confection, it's the way I ice to you
**Cake Eater**
I'm still in a dream, Cake Eater!

Fair warning, this is going to be heavy stuff.
A more serious talk than usual, after the break.

GOP debate reactions
to be honest, I'm a hardcore Green Party kind of guy, (if my endless pictures of nature haven't given me away as an environmentalist yet, nothing will), so I wasn't very interested.
that being said, reading the #gopdebate posts on twitter was endlessly more entertaining without any context.
all I got out of it were these:
call me up when he bursts into flame.

It's like watching a broken animatronic at a disney park, but somehow more terrifying. https://t.co/2K2v7usEnG

#GOPDebate All I've learned is that Trump is a broken animatronic doll from a disney ride possessed by someone's rich racist grandpa.

Day one of "The Safe Job"
Not really allowed to talk about this one either, but this time I feel like a co-conspirator, at least, instead of a sacrificial lamb.
it's also only 10 minutes from home, 2 minutes from my comic book shop of choice, and I make pretty cool stuff.
tonight's safety phrase that pays for days through the haze of a maze called malaise: "Dish Sponge."
quote it to the nearest ungulate, and see if they're in on it, too.
